Jeremy Goldstein, one of the pro-active board members at the Fountain House, a New York-based NGO, organized a fabulous dinner party on May 22, 2018. Those who attended the party confirmed that they have gone to different dinner parties in the past but none would match what Jeremy Goldstein and crew organized. It was unique, filled with all sorts of delicacies and above all, there was plenty of exotic Chateau Latour wine.

The aim of the party was to raise funds in support of the Fountain House, an NGO that solely deals with the mentally challenged persons. According to Jeremy Goldstein, the dinner party started at 6:45 pm New York time. An hour later, visitors who arrived were served with special meals prepared by an award-winning chef. For one to take part in the dinner party, they were supposed to buy tickets. Each ticket cost $3, 700. All the money that was collected from the dinner party was channeled to the Fountain House to support several educational programs for its members.

The Fountain House has been around for over 70 years. During the first four years of its start as ‘We Are Not Alone’, the Fountain House did not have a permanent residence. Today, more than 74 years later, the NGO has a permanent residence in New York at the Fountain House. This Non-Governmental Organization got its name from a fountain of water that was in the garden of its current residence.
