A Review Of Sujit Choudhry’s Career As A Constitutional Advisor

Sujit Choudhry is a scholar of comparative constitutional law. He is also the founder of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. The Center for Constitutional Transitions partners with a global network of NGOs, think tanks and multilateral organizations to generate and mobilize knowledge to support constitutional change in emerging democracies. They achieve this objective by assembling and guiding international networks of professionals to generate evidence-based policy options for agenda-setting research and decision-makers. During an interview with CEOCFO, Sujit Choudhry said that his previous experience inspired him to establish the organization. While working as a constitutional advisor to emerging democracies globally, he realized the need for adequate knowledge on matters of constitutional transitions. The Center for Constitutional seeks to enhance the effectiveness of constitutional advice. Sujit has achieved overwhelming success in his career by helping many countries to transition from war zones to peaceful democracies.

About Sujit Choudhry

Sujit Choudhry teaches law at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley-School of Law. Previously, he served as the Dean of the institution. The accomplished constitutional expert worked as Cecilia Goetz Professor of Law at New York University. In addition, Sujit was the Scholl Chair at the University of Toronto. Mr. Choudhry graduated with his law degrees from Oxford University, University of Toronto and Harvard University.
